Once upon a time in a galaxy not that far away ...
Born in the tail end of the 60's, Craig grew up in a mostly non-computerised world, but then in the 1980's along came his beloved Commodore 64 and the rest is history ...
Nowadays he is a self confessed geek but back then bitten by the programming bug and teaching himself 6502 assembly language, the path was set and it just took another decade for the internet to really catch on before he felt like he had come home, an exciting place in the world for him was waiting and his love of everything internet'ish was cast in stone.
Craig loves liaising with our clients, learning about their goals and understanding their business and then providing ideas and solutions that they and their customers can benefit from, improving online systems, communication and processes that just make life simpler.
"I founded Core9 because I always felt like there was a piece of the jigsaw missing for small businesses. Having worked for some of the UK's largest companies, I realised that small to medium sized businesses were having to put up with cheap and less than satisfying web services and that the latest technology was often just beyond their price range, Core9 was born to address that situation, providing the best technology available but at an affordable price for everyone."
Born in the same year as Wayne Rooney, Keira Knightly and Lily Allen, but possessing none of the footballing skills, acting ability and only some of the singing talent of the aforementioned, Mike Thatcher came kicking and screaming into the world in 1985.
Mike grew up on an intellectual diet of Pokemon, Skateboarding and teaching himself the guitar, whilst listening to the Ramones. His claim to fame being a member of the punk band 'The Real Quaid' (although his cousin Mitchell did get to the Semi finals of the BBC talent show 'The voice'!).
With a solid grounding in HTML, CSS, JQuery and PHP programming and a large sprinkling of MySQL databasing, Mike is a true code ninja, and loves solving the unsolvable.
He is often found late at night burning the midnight oil programming, fuelled by copious amounts of energy beverages, which whilst not providing any wings so far, have culminated in some awesome web design.
